Before & After care

It is essential that you follow these instructions after your microblading session:

Day One (Day of treatment):

Immediately After Treatment

  • Gently dab freshly pigmented area with post care wipes to remove all the lymph and previously applied cream
  • Apply a very thin layer of Skin Candy with a clean q-tip, avoid using your fingers. Do this every 5 min until the oozing has
    stopped.
  • Removing this fluid prevents the hardening of lymphatic fluids.

For the rest of the day of treatment

  • Repeat the above process 3-5 times for the rest of the day to keep the wound clean and avoid scab formation.
  • Do not let the area dry out! Apply ointment as often as needed to keep
    moisture on the healing area

Following Seven Days

  • Gently press and roll cleaning wipes on brows to clean and remove lymphatic fluid.
  • Apply a very thin layer of Skin Candy with a clean q-tip, avoid using your fingers.
  • Repeat the above process 3-5 times a day to keep the wound clean and avoid scab formation. Do not let the area get dry!

Important Instructions for Showering

  • Limit your showers to 5 minutes so that you do not create too much steam. Keep your face/procedure area out of the water while you wash your body, then, at the end of your shower, wash your hair.
  • Your face should only be getting wet only at the end of the shower.
  • Avoid excessive rinsing and hot water on the treated area.

Important Reminders For Healing

  • Use a fresh pillowcase while you sleep.
  • Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate away. Picking can cause
    scarring or loss of color
  • No aggressive facials, chemical treatments or microdermabrasion for
4 weeks. Botox must settle for two weeks before having brows done.
  • Avoid hot, sweaty exercise for one week.
  • Avoid long, hot showers for the first 10 days.
  • Avoid sleeping on your face for the first 10 days.
  • Avoid face-down swimming, lakes, and hot tubs for the first 10 days.
  • Avoid topical makeup and sunscreen on the area.
  • DO NOT rub, pick, or scratch the treated area.

THINGS TO AVOID DURING HEALING

  • Always avoid laser treatments over the treated area (Fraxel Laser, IPL),
because they can destroy the pigment and cause burns.
  • Use of antibiotics and hormonal therapy can lead to faster pigment
    fading.

This will not interfere with the procedure.
  • For clients with any history of cold sores/fever blister/herpes, even if it was when you were a child, contact your physician and request a prescription for Zovirax or Valtrex.
